About Uplift Project, Inc.
The Uplift Project, Inc., (UPI), is a nonprofit, 501(C) (3) organization formed in 2002 whose mission is to focus on charitable issues in the Durham, Chatham and Orange County-area regarding:
- Social Action and Youth initiatives involving education and character improvement
- Public Awareness Forums focusing on social, economic, and health related issues
- Strategic Leadership and Community Development
Uplift Project, Inc. (UPI) is recognized as a public charity under Internal Revenue Code section 509(a) and has 501(c)(3) status. Donations to UPI are deductible. Donors should consult their tax advisor for questions regarding deductibility. The UPI EIN is 56-2296032. A copy of the UPI determination letter is available upon request.
